My career has been split between helping people to manage the finance and tax duties that come with owning their own business and educating our future small business leaders in the classroom. In my 10 years of public accounting, I catered exclusively to small business owners helping them to not only comply with laws, but also the importance of understanding them and avoiding pitfalls. I spent my teaching career at Mississippi State University and University of Nebraska Omaha teaching everything tax - from individual taxes for juniors to tax research for graduate students.
