About Tina Ann Forkner

Tina Ann Forkner is a writing instructor, author, and elementary librarian. Her novel, Waking Up Joy, was a finalist for the Virginia Romance Writers HOLT Medallion. Her novels have been highlighted in USA Today, Library Journal, Romantic Times Book Review, Working Mother Magazine, Buzz Feed, and Southern Writers Magazine. When not writing stories, Tina works as a School Librarian, is an adjunct writing instructor for Drexel University’s low-residency MFA in Creative Writing program, and has taught writing courses for the Life Enrichment Program at Laramie County Community College, and for the Summer Youth Program (SEEK). Tina is active with Jackson Hole Writers, a Past-President of the Laramie County Library Foundation Board of Directors in Cheyenne, Past-President of WyoPoets, a member of Women's Fiction Writers Association, and member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. Tina’s essays have appeared in various publications online and in print including PopSugar, Medium, Homecoming Magazine, Southern Writers Magazine Suite T, among others. She has had poems published in the Sacramento Poetry Center’s journal, Poetry Now, under the pen name Tina Linde, and her freelance columns have appeared previously in the Wyoming Tribune-Eagle under the same pen name. Tina currently lives in Jackson, Wyoming. She writes poetry and fiction about relationships in all their complicated beauty, no matter what setting she chooses. One of her most recent novels, The Real Thing, explores the relationships of a second marriage and blended family against the setting of rural Tennessee and the American rodeo. Tina's novels, Ruby Among Us and Rose House, originally published by Random House, have been re-released by Spavinaw Junction Press.
