About Tina Simons

As a mental health and substance use therapist with a background in behavioral health operations, my intention is to use my skills to help individuals, families, and communities learn to grow, heal, and become. I wholeheartedly believe this is possible for all. I have been honored to receive multiple awards, including statewide recognition as MSW Student of 2020 for NASW Indiana and Outstanding Graduate Assistant of 2020 for Indiana State University. I am grateful to be involved in local and statewide organizations that aim to build capacity in others through empowerment and promotion of social justice. I am trained in motivational enhancement therapy/motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy skills, Level 1 Gottman Institute couples therapy training, and 12-Step facilitation therapy. I am also a trained CRAFT facilitator, which supports families facing addiction. My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and client-centered. Administratively, I excel in developing and maintaining clinical operations that include compliance, billing and revenue management, and building relationships with stakeholders. I dream of a world where stigma does not exist; where there is an individualized path to wholeness for every person who seeks it; where people truly feel like we belong to each other. I am committed to doing my part to make this a reality for all.
