Responsibilities include ensuring that jobs are manufactured correctly, cost effective, and delivered on time in accordance to customer build specification and quality requirements. Communicating with all the relevant people/departments and coordinating all relevant inputs (people, plant and processes) to ensure production output and on time delivery targets are achieved. Planning, scheduling and reviewing workload of technicians and engineers to ensure production output and on-time delivery targets are achieved. Ensuring that the shop floor has the necessary manpower, competence, skill, knowledge, plant, and tooling required in order to achieve production targets. Managing the Purchasing function to ensure material is purchased cost effectively and available for production when required. Managing the Inventory function/stock control to ensure raw material and finished products are receipted, located, stored and transferred correctly and that inventory is accurate. Other duties: warehousing, transportation, and scheduling related to planning and order fulfillment. I also program, build, and test the GPS line of motor controllers, displays, data-loggers, and back-spin relays.
