About Ting Wang

I am a highly motivated and results-driven biomedical researcher with a passion for translating cutting-edge scientific discoveries into impactful patient care. With a Ph.D. in Medical Neuroscience and an M.D. in Ophthalmology, I bring over seven years of rigorous research experience, complemented by extensive clinical practice, to tackle complex biomedical challenges. Throughout my career, I have specialized in ophthalmology, pharmacology, and drug development. My research has focused on lipid metabolism in glaucoma, where I identified novel therapeutic targets for intraocular pressure regulation. I am skilled in using a wide range of experimental models (in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo) and have developed expertise in translational research, specifically in drug target validation and pharmacokinetic assessments. Currently, as an ORISE Postdoctoral Fellow at the FDA, I specialize in clinical pharmacology, pharmacodynamic biomarkers, biosimilar development, and regulatory science, with a focus on the regulatory landscape of drug discovery. This experience has broadened my ability to bridge the gap between preclinical research and clinical applications, enabling the development of safer, more effective therapies. I am driven by a deep commitment to improving patient outcomes through scientific innovation and am continually seeking new ways to apply my research to real-world challenges. My comprehensive background in translational medicine, regulatory science, and clinical practice uniquely positions me to lead the development of novel therapies and drive the advancement of new treatments for a variety of diseases.
