About Ting Yang

I am an enzyme biochemist with passion and expertise in sustainable production of high-value natural products using metabolic engineering. I have 10+ years of experience in R&D projects in synthetic biology of plants and microorganisms. My research leads to 9 peer-reviewed scientific publications and a 1.6M DKK (215K Euro) research grant. I am also an effective communicator to establish and maintain academic and industrial collaborations, to present my research on scientific conferences, and to convey messages to people with different background. I was selected for oral presentations in 5 international conferences, and my presentations received personal appreciation from the department head and the head of the research center. I work with a detail-oriented mindset, critical thinking, and organized work manner to ensure my projects finish with high quality and meet the deadlines. I have completed 3 industrial projects and 2 academic projects. As a researcher, I am responsible for designing experiments, analyzing large-scale data sets, writing reports and publications, presenting on seminars and conferences, supervising student and technicians, as well as writing research grant proposals.
