About Tish Cox

I am graduate from Texas A&M University and a CPA. I have been with The Friedkin Group for over 20 years in a variety of roles. Currently, I am the Sr. Director of Business Advisory & Audit Services. The Friedkin Group is a privately-held consortium of businesses and investments. Our portfolio includes one of the world’s largest independent Toyota distributors, to a collection of award-winning luxury resorts, the diverse companies affiliated with The Friedkin Group are unified by a shared mission: to provide best-in-class experiences that inspire joy and purpose. In my role, I bring value-added services to the companies we support by partnering with them to understand their processes, control environment, key risk areas and business objectives. We then work with the companies to help them mitigate risk and achieve their business objectives by identifying opportunities to strengthen controls, enhance business efficiencies, identify and mitigate emerging risk and understand their regulatory landscape. The audit team has a collaborative approach with our business partners (supported companies). We strive to form partnerships with management to offer value-added services. We partner with management in the form of traditional audits, assessments, special projects, risk assessments, gap analysis, etc. All roles within the audit department require each individual to demonstrate strong project execution skills; sound decision making-skills; effective communication and leadership skills; and be comfortable interacting with personnel at all levels within an organization.
