About Tish Pollard

In 2005, as a single mother, I was searching for an opportunity to work Monday through Friday and earn commission. Little did I know that this pursuit would lead me to an amazing career filled with lasting friendships, valuable mentors, and individuals who believed in my potential. Next year, I will proudly celebrate 20 years in the insurance industry, reflecting on the steppingstones that have strengthened my faith in the Lord. I began my journey by working as an account manager & quickly went into a producer role. This experience set the stage for more my next role as Commercial Lines Placement Manager at Correll Insurance in 2010. At Correll, I had the privilege of handling complex accounts encompassing high property values, social services, transportation, construction, and more. Working alongside 45 producers in the Carolinas, I honed my expertise and developed as an insurance leader. In 2016, an opportunity arose that aligned with a long-held dream I had since entering the industry. I joined Berkley Southeast as a Territory Manager, responsible for servicing the Carolinas, writing profitable business, and expanding the BSIG territory. Berkley Southeast felt like a supportive family, fostering collaboration and enabling my growth in underwriting knowledge and capabilities. The training and assistance from the incredible team played a large part in my development. Looking back at my professional journey, I realize the valuable role that each leader & position has played in shaping my growth. Each experience has built a strong foundation, enabling me to progress steadily. After six years in the carrier sector with Berkley Southeast, I am now transitioning to the agency side, taking up the role of Regional Placement Lead for the Carolina's at World Insurance. Established in 2011, World Insurance has experienced significant growth, and I am thrilled to bring my leadership and tactical skills to this new role. During the interview process, someone remarked that World Insurance would be different today and completely transformed in three months. The organization values integrity, collaboration, leadership, innovation, and excellence, and I am eager to witness the exciting possibilities that lie ahead for my career and the insurance industry. Looking back at my journey, I am grateful for the opportunities, challenges, and the unwavering support that has shaped me both professionally and personally. I am excited to embark on this new chapter with World Insurance and curious to see where the next 20 years will take me in this ever-evolving industry.
