35+ years in the banking and mortgage banking arena. Engaged in all aspects of the finance business from loan origination through securitization. The career path includes Loan Origination, Branch Management, Project Management, Risk Management, Underwriting, Business Modeling, Workflow Structuring, Portfolio Review, development of Outsourcing Management Systems, MBS Securitization and Loan Servicing. Worked diligently with buyers and sellers in the distressed asset space to locate, purchase, finance or sell those assets through my banking relationships. Worked with a distressed bank to structure a recovery plan and platform inclusive of mortgage lending programs. Received FDIC approval for the bank restructuring program to open 6 MLO Branches in Chicago for a Camel 5 rated bank. Participated in writing and launching mortgage banking loan programs for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Programs to my credit include the Manufactured Housing Leasehold Estate program, Section 8 Voucher-to-Own program and the Lease-Purchase program. HUD Committee Member on the Manufactured Housing Guidelines Committee in Washington, DC. Former member of the Freddie Mac UnBog (Underwriting Barriers Outreach Group) Committee. Consulted for other major banks, architects, developers and homebuilders with regard to sales and marketing strategy in the affordable and systems built (modular) housing space. Worked with several NFP (Not-For-Profit) housing groups to develop homeownership programs. Written underwriting guidelines for, and in cooperation with, PMI Mortgage Insurance Company. Developed and owned a complete family of private label affordable housing loan programs. Developed and consulted on many SFR (Single Family Residential) housing projects from inception or salvage stage through sale. HUD DE underwriter since 1986. VA Auto underwriter in 1987.
