I'm Tiya (she/her), a BCom graduate and CPHR Candidate from the University of British Columbia (UBC) Sauder School of Business specializing in organizational behaviour and human resources with a concentration in sustainability and social impact. I have hands-on experience in employee & labour relations, ability management, and engagement strategies. Passionate about continuous learning, I'm always seeking new challenges to grow and make a meaningful impact. During my first HR internship at Seaspan ULC, I: Closed 180+ ability management claims in under two months, optimizing HRIS data management Developed an Excel VBA and Macros tool that saved 35+ administrative hours per week by streamlining return-to-work processes Launched wellness initiatives that improved accessibility to mental health, addiction recovery, and injury prevention resources for employees, earning recognition from senior leadership This experience gave me a strong foundation in HR operations, and I’m eager to bring my skills, adaptability, and problem-solving mindset to a full-time role where I can make an even greater impact. I thrive in roles where I can enhance employee experiences, build inclusive policies, and drive engagement strategies that foster a positive work culture.
