About Tizreena Ismail
My research interests are in writer identity, writing studies pedagogy and critical issues in literacy development and assessment of EFL learners. I am currently interested in the participatory approach to writing pedagogy and the effect of such socially inclusive classroom methodologies on the identity, structure and agency of students. I have presented and published papers in the area of writing across the curriculum, language and media, writing identity, and the impact of dialogic feedback practices on learner identity and learner motivation of students. In addition I have recently been focusing on leaner centered classrooms that promote participatory, collaborative pedagogy and how such transformative teaching methodologies can lead to effective learning environments.
