About Toby Chan

Toby is a co-founder of Audacy, focused on catalysing and scaling technologies critical to the energy transition post his prior career in traditional energy and renewables. Audacy supports technologies related to (1) electrification,(2) sustainable fuels and (3) carbon capture and utilisation, that are in its early stages of commercialisation. We are well placed to assist portfolio companies to rollout its technology given the teams' deep experience in the energy sector as well as infrastructure financing, and access to various customer markets particularly in APAC. Toby has 20 years of investments and advisory experience across energy, infrastructure, technology, real estate and natural resources. Toby advised on over US$15bn of transactions whilst at Macquarie Capital and was part of the founding team of Kerogen Capital, a specialist in international energy investments with over US$2 billion AUM. Toby is a passionate "powderhound" and trained as a ski instructor with the NZSIA, as well as having worked professionally in the tennis and media industry during his career break from energy. Climate investing is both a job and a hobby, and Toby strives to make climate investing more approachable and entertaining to recruit more investors into the space.
