About Toby Gill

As CEO of IPG Energy, I have led the company from breakthrough concept to commercialisation - raising millions in equity investment, building a high-performing team, and steering the business towards scalable impact in the distributed power market. Under my leadership, we have developed the IPG Flameless Generator - a hybrid, fuel-agnostic generator designed to replace diesel on construction sites, providing a cost-effective, low-emission power solution at scale. I’ve overseen the development of the technology, shaped our go-to-market strategy, and secured millions in equity investment, positioning the company for long-term growth. Earlier in my career, I earned a PhD in Physics and Chemistry at UCL’s London Centre for Nanotechnology and began my entrepreneurial journey co-founding an agritech start-up, where I gained experience in deep tech innovation that continues to inform my approach today.
