About Toby Laakso
I have completed a BAppSc (HMS)(Hons) through the University of Queensland and Graduate Diploma in Cardiac Ultrasound through Queensland University of Technology. I trained as a cardiac scientist at The Prince Charles Hospital covering all areas of diagnostic cardiac testing choosing to specialize in echocardiography and stress echocardiography. During my time at The Prince Charles Hospital I was heavily involved with the Indigenous Cardiac Outreach Program helping to provide a tertiary level echocardiographic service to the far reaches of northern and western Queensland's indigenous communities. I co-presented at the Inaugural CSANZ Indigenous Cardiovascular Health Conference. With my experience and desire to help others i feel compelled to deliver a high level echocardiographic service to all in need. Improving patient service whilst maintaining patient care is my top priority. Through my ongoing work with Cardionexus in both clincal and administrative roles i know we can provide a prompt, tertiary level, cardiac diagnostic service to all who require Australia wide.
