About Toby Maywald

I am an experienced people movement modeler and consultant, with a history in operational transport modelling and planning. Today, my primary focus is to advise on the design and operation of crowded spaces to achieve the most comfortable, convenient and safe outcomes for people. Since my return to Melbourne in 2021 I have continued to develop pedestrian analyses, plans and simulation models using the skills I developed in London, using Viswalk, Legion and Mass Motion. Through my experience and the application of these tools I have had the opportunity to inform the design and operation of numerous public spaces, railway stations, stadiums, major events, cultural venues and education buildings across the U.K, U.S.A, Australia and the Middle East. In 2021 I decided to join the Movement Strategies team (a GHD company). Movement Strategies is a world class people movement and crowd dynamics advisory company.
