About Toby Morley

I have a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bath and am looking to pursue a career that offers me diverse and challenging opportunities. My diligent and hard-working temperament helps me achieve ambitious and challenging goals, and continues to guide me to exciting opportunities. Colleagues have described me as confident and adaptable, with a natural ability to work well in a team whilst having an aptitude for leadership. At university I undertook an industrial placement year at British Airways working as a Cabin Design Engineer. I was assigned a variety of projects ranging from the competitive selection of new seating for the A350 Airbus, through to implementation of the Red Nose Day aircraft liveries. This provided me with vital opportunities to hone my project management skills, whilst giving me an insight into the maintenance and design of airline cabins. I also took the opportunity to explore other areas of the business, to obtain a clearer understanding of how the company works as a whole. As part of my role, I worked alongside colleagues and service providers in various departments, internally and externally, greatly developing my interpersonal and networking skills. Following my placement, I was given a provisional offer of employment on the British Airways Engineering Graduate Scheme. I live a very active lifestyle and am constantly looking for new opportunities and activities to push and challenge me. My passion for skiing and extreme sports led me to a unique opportunity to chalet host for Le Ski in Val d'Isere. I gained valuable skills from restaurant quality cooking, to networking and communicating, whilst fulfilling my dream to ski day in day out for a season.
