About Toby Shield

Previously, completing an apprenticeship as an electrician, the study component of the course included physics and technology which had sparked an interest in me; I really wanted to know more about how things worked and to become involved in the field of tech. Ever since, I've been led on a path to further my knowledge of engineering and it’s associated technologies. I have been very much inspired by legendary engineers, including Nikola Tesla, Steve Wozniak, Heron of Alexandria and Filippo Brunelleschi. As a child I could always see the direction that technology was taking society, this is something I've contemplated too often. I won’t to contribute to the emergence of this technological society. I am currently studying and now well on my way to achieving my first and foremost goal of becoming an engineer. I have excellent skills in design using the computer software SolidWorks to create part models. Using the PLC software RSLogix I have a great understanding of process control. I also have experience using the software FluidSim for the design of fluid power systems.
