I am an experienced and passionate professional with 11 years of professional and volunteer Labor Relations experience, over 14 years in Emergency Medical Services and 6 years of experience as a Transfer Center Coordinator Operation's Lead. Throughout these many years in prehospital and hospital-based service, patient care and comfort has remained the utmost priority. My skills such as communication, critical thinking, time management, delegation and interpersonal have been sharpened and tested under the most stressful and demanding of circumstances. I have developed an ability to thrive and be solution oriented when presented with difficult scenarios with strict and urgent time limits. I am compassionate and empathetic, with the patient's needs and comfort comprising the driving force behind my decisions. Throughout my careers, I have been and continue to be a dedicated, trusted and passionate employee, instructor and trainer. I am known for being reliable and going above and beyond to support my co-workers and superiors. I truly love working with and teaching others. During my time in EMS, I enjoyed 7+ years experience as preceptor and trainer of new paramedics and instructor for training and certification of CPR, first aid, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). I was also a highly regarded interagency trainer and teacher regularly administering both formal and informal training sessions at local fire departments, ambulance services and communities. As a Transfer Center Coordinator, I lead training classes for Patient Follow-up Care and Mental Health Unit policy and procedure both in an academy and dynamic setting. I was sought out by fellow team members as a reliable resource for tips and training regarding maximizing productivity in the utilization of the CAD system, Mental Health Unit procedures, Medical Transfers (especially emergent, high priority patients) and executing Patient Follow-up Calls.I obtained an AA in Social Sciences with a focus on Political Science. I have a deep passion for history, especially early American history and the politics that shaped and continue to drive change in our country. In my spare time, I am an avid gardener and nature enthusiast. Yoga and meditation are integral in centering my focus and channeling any stress from my professional or personal life and allows me to process situations and execute decisions with a clear mind and sharpened focus.
