About Todd Blades

I am a graduate of the University of Toronto, St George Campus in 2010 with a Honors degree in Aboriginal Studies and North American History. Specifically my studies included the Anishnaabe/Ojibwe Culture and Pre-Contact/ Contact History. During my tenure at U of T, I was a member of the Jr. Varsity Rowing Team. I was a founding member and Director of Membership for the Future Leaders of the University of Toronto. This group was aimed to help other students with mentoring, networking and helping members create a contact base in Toronto’s downtown core. I was a part of group activities in First Nations House (U of T) and was involved in a group project at Toronto’s Council Fire. This project was aimed to research and present our findings about what Council Fire and its professionals do to help Toronto’s Aboriginal Community. I joined the Royal Bank of Canada in their retail services sector with aspirations of attaining more senior positions with RBC. I was a member of RBC’s Aboriginal cultural awareness group, The Royal Eagles. I left RBC in September of 2014 for a more senior role at Scotiabank and am currently a Financial Advisor.
