About Todd Carroll

I started out my working career in forestry (arborist), went to college for Forestry conservation Tech. after that I moved into a welding position, worked through into a welding institute and finished a fully certified CWB welded with multi position and process. joined the Ironworkers international Union(local 700) completed a apprenticeship in structural steel erection. I was offered a position with and industrial door company installing large bay doors, hanger doors and fire separation doors. Moved up in to a leadership position and eventually working for other door companies as supervisor. during my apprenticeship I also was working on my security certifications. I focused on conflict resolution and threat minimization skills and tactics. I was a fully licensed security and private investigator. i did my initial certification training with commissionaires, and some advanced skills I want to down to Georgia and Florida to train with Blackwater(academi) and Knight(firearms training). I decided to make a change over to industrial maintenance, during that time I worked for FCA facility (Fiat-Chrysler automotive group). I developed my skills working with robotic control systems, production line and conveyor maintenance and controls, during this time I was also heavy involved in health and safety. At the end of 2019 I moved from southern Ontario to Whitehorse Yukon, to begin a career in management for a manufacturing company that was developing a overhead and commercial door department. due to Covid-19 and shortage of work, i decided to return to welding and steel erection temporally. Currently I'm with Yukon government working within the information and communication department as a client service specialist. working towards management level again. I also am heavily involved with the Yukon fire service as a volunteer firefighter and Yukon fire service health and safety representative.
