In 2005 I was Selected by the Dona Ana County Commission to take over as the appointed Sheriff of Dona Ana County, after which I was re-elected as Sheriff to serve two more terms for a total of ten years. I had to retire in 2014 as I was term limited after a 30 year career in law enforcement serving my community. At the present time I am unemployed, working on starting my own business.
