About Todd Horner

I help local communities and other partners plan for the future. I provide them with data, information, and resources so that they can make informed decisions about issues like housing, transportation, economic development, land use, environmental sustainability, demographics, and more. As a regional planner, I also help draw connections between all these different subject matter areas, breaking down silos and building new crosscutting relationships. I bring a wide range of skills to my work, including quantitative data analysis, data visualization, technical writing, public engagement, meeting facilitation, GIS and spatial analysis, and more. I aim to break down the complex, esoteric, and often seemingly bone-dry issues that underly each community's ability to prosper and make those issues interesting and approachable to everyday citizens. In more specific terms, I hope to make you care about issues like land use regulations, demographic change, transportation infrastructure, socioeconomic trends, and more. These planning issues and others like them fundamentally influence the health and wellbeing of our towns and cities. My job is to help highlight how this is so and provide communities with the tools they need to plan for the future accordingly.
