About Todd Kelly

The CSU-Pueblo Foundation Board named Todd Kelly as the new President/CEO of the CSU-Pueblo Foundation on July 12, 2012. Kelly provides advice, counsel, and coordination for the CSU-Pueblo Foundation and its Board of Trustees, committees and affiliated organizations. He implements and manages development plans to enhance the image and understanding of the University and to increase support for the university in accordance with the mission and strategic plan of the campus. He also will plan and develop approaches to solicit and acquire funds for the institution, including annual, planned, and major gift programs and specialized promotional campaigns, and will coordinate his development efforts with the CSU-Pueblo Alumni Association, deans, and the entire University community. Kelly joined the Foundation from the university’s athletic program, where he served as the associate athletic director for development for the since 2003. In his role, he was responsible for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting contributions and worked closely with the CSU-Pueblo Foundation in his efforts. In his tenure with the CSU-Pueblo athletics department, Kelly produced more than annually for the benefit of the athletic program. For his efforts, Kelly was named the College Division Fundraiser of the Year by the National Association of Athletic Development Directors. Kelly earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communications with an emphasis in public relations from CSU-Pueblo in 1990 and a master’s degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Sports Administration from the University of Northern Colorado in 2006. Kelly has received national commendation for his role at CSU-Pueblo, earning the prestigious National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD) College Division Fundraiser of the Year honor in 2010. He was named the 2025 Outstanding Fundraising Professional for the Southern Colorado Chapter of AFP and was a 2024 inductee into the Greater Pueblo Sports Hall of Fame.
