About Todd Krug

My professional strengths and rewards intersect at the point of helping my Co-op students and employers connect. I enjoy guiding students from many backgrounds and skill levels through the process of discovering and working towards their career passions. Students share with me their needs, issues, anxieties, dreams and goals. In return, I offer my help, support, respect, confidence and partnership. The same is true with my corporate partners, who I help to create strong Co-op experiences for the students they hire and host. SKILLS: building relationships; marketing; communicating with constituents; collaborating internally and externally; supervising; planning; goal setting; counseling; teaching; writing; creating job postings; recruiting students and employers; providing customer service; managing daily operations; building community; advising; and assessing. DIVERSITY: Working with college-age African-American men is something that began early in my career, and it has grown into an increasingly meaningful, rewarding and fulfilling part of my life, mostly through word of mouth from current students encouraging new students to connect with me. These young men extend their trust and invite me into their lives for what has been, and continues to be, a remarkable journey. Over time, many of these young men have transitioned from students to friends to my extended family, and who now enjoy careers in law; law enforcement; medicine; education; and business. My work has taught me (thus far) these important lessons: be genuine; be honest; care for and about others; meet people where they are; follow-through and follow-up; don’t over-promise; listen; be comfortable saying “I don’t know”; be firm when necessary; be warm and compassionate when necessary; and lead by example. I value educational or corporate settings that seek these same qualities.
