About Todd Manuel

With a philosophy that “doing good is good business,” Todd Manuel is a trusted board and C-suite adviser, executive leadership team member, and former law firm partner with 25+ years in demanding, high-performance environments—including a $11 billion Fortune 500 public company, a statewide public university system, an international trade association, a Chambers-ranked law firm, and the LA Army National Guard. He is relied on by boards, executives, and business leaders to spearhead transformation, innovation, and engagement—all while delivering measurable results. Today, Todd is an executive in the Louisiana State University System, where he is a key partner to the president and other leaders on the creation of a cohesive, mission-driven statewide system. However, throughout his career in organizational management, engagement, risk management, and law, Todd has regularly been sought out by leaders to: • Advise boards, C-suites, and strategy groups on the successes, challenges, and growth opportunities necessary to drive intentional, informed change that creates impactful business outcomes and shareholder value • Serve as a primary corporate representative with external stakeholders (legislators, industry leaders, customers / clients, communities), promote brand recognition and reputation, and build strategic partnerships and relationships • Design and lead engagement initiatives as part of strategic enterprise-wide framework to promote operational effectiveness while reducing cost and liability around compliance, risk, safety, HR, and talent • Lead and manage transformative culture change, focused on innovation, continuous improvement, growth, positivity, customer-centered and goal-oriented thinking, accountability, communication, and team building • Build teams and new functions, including improving legacy teams and creating functions from-scratch that align seamlessly with overall organizational mission and goals to deliver tangible results. A leader who believes in the power of community and engagement, Todd serves on the board of numerous nonprofits, including the Louisiana Clean Energy Fund, Companion Animal Alliance, and Helix Community Schools. He is a graduate of Baton Rouge Area Chamber Leadership Class and is a current member of the Baton Rouge Area Foundation’s Strategic Governance Committee. In addition to business and service-oriented nonprofits, Todd has served in leadership roles in bar associations. He holds a JD from Southern University Law Center, a BS in Accounting from LSU, and an executive certificate in DEI from Georgetown.
