About Todd Porter
I have worked as a mechanical design engineer for 22 years in many industries. I started at Buckeye Steel Castings Co.(GSI Engineering) designing steel castings for the rail industry. I had many projects for mass transit systems and freight service. I hold several patents for rail products I have designed. I later moved on to designing automated manufacturing equipment for automotive plants. I had projects for customers such as Honda, Toyota, Subaru and GM. I have also worked as a restaurant equipment designer. Mainly designing stainless steel sheet metal & custom wood components for places such as Wendy's, Bob Evans, Carl's Jr. and Baskin Robbins. I had designed truck mounted forklifts and other truck mounted material handling equipment for 16+ years. First with Princeton Delivery Systems (Cargotec) and then with Palfinger North America Group. Now I have moved on to the Engineering Department at Elliott Machine Works. I am working on design projects, cost and time cutting projects at Elliott.
