Background
About Todd Schierling
With over 30 years of experience in the Fire Service and several in leadership roles across organizations such as the BC Professional Fire Fighters' Burn Fund and the Local 1271 International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF), I have focused on advancing the well-being and safety of professional firefighters. My work emphasizes lobbying, project planning, and board governance, with a strong commitment to public safety and organizational excellence. At IAFF, I contribute to the National Advisory Group on firefighter-related cancers, collaborating with federal, provincial, and municipal stakeholders to improve awareness, data collection, and standards for structural and wildland firefighters. My mission is to enhance policies that protect and support the firefighting community.
