About Todd Statzer

Next step in Career in process at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center I have returned to research as I feel it is my calling to help advance Plant Science. Born in Detroit Michigan, raised in Central Illinois. Todd is a horticulturalist by profession serving in the military, then obtaining his BS in Ag Education and Masters in Crop Science with an emphasis in Plant Biology and Pathology. With over 30 years in commercial Agriculture/Horticulture Todd has been a farmer and animal producer, instructor, University and City greenhouse manager, researcher, cannabis regulator, Vice President of Environmental Sciences, a technical sales expert in air circulation and purification, and IPM Director. He is continuing his endeavors in the CEA and green sector. He is embracing his next opportunity. Please consider the teams' approach management style of a veteran horticulturalist who has built strong coordinated teams at the University of Illinois, City of Milwaukee, State of Illinois, urban-gro, and Earth's Healing. He has always prided himself as a teammate, mentor and leader with honesty and integrity. Great leaders empower and allow others to explore their full potential! There is a vast difference between a boss and a leader and Todd strives to be a leader. This concept which his parents instilled in him from a very early age is still present over 50 years later. He was lucky enough to have his Dad as his Boy Scout leader and became an Eagle Scout further instilling leadership qualities as a teen. This is still one of the most important tenants that he will impart in every position he serves in.
