I was a senior software developer at eThor where I work with a talented team of people to revolutionize electronic payment system integrations. At ENERSoft, I worked on complex geoscience software for the oil and gas industry. I had lead a team of 4 to refine and improve the company’s core technology solutions. It’s a competitive market and I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of constantly iterating our products to gain an edge and drive revenue gains. I’m never happier than when faced with a challenging problem, and I derive great satisfaction from finding elegant solutions, and then helping others understand the best way forward. I feel very fortunate to work as a software developer as I genuinely love technology. I’m so passionate about my work that I almost always take it home with me. In addition to completing work projects at home, I also like to develop personal projects, either to test out new technologies or simply to learn new skills. I also enjoy reading books on development and learning about emerging technologies. Co-workers and managers often compliment me on my technical knowledge, my positive outlook and my ability to handle whatever is thrown at me. In my current role, I lead a team of 4, and I have found this very rewarding because I enjoy leading others, although I’m also happy working on projects as a sole contributor. I thrive when working to tight deadlines, or in fast-paced, ever-changing situations, and I am accustomed to 24/7 environments.
