About Todd Whitcomb

I am person who has experience with middle and high school students with a variety of diagnoses including among others conduct and oppositional defiant disorders; anxiety and depression, emerging psychiatric, Autism and Aspergers Syndrome. I have created a therapeutic classroom milieu and learning environment in 3 distinctly different environments. In my years at The Maine Youth Center (Long Creek) The Spurwink Program and finally at The Alliance School. These programs has given me a depth of skills and experiences that have prepared me for providing students with environment and tools they need to get along with peers and build a relationships. Through my years of working with at risk students I have been a professional who can be strict when needed, but I am always practicing unconditional positive regard. A consistent theme through all of my evaluations and reviews is that I am team player who does what is best for students and the program. I have been commended for coming to work every day (1 sick day in the last 10 years) with a positive, professional attitude.
