About Tofer Carlson
Modern renaissance man with experience in engineering, secondary education, professional and technical writing, playwrighting, biochemistry, theatre production and performance, competitive dance, small and large scale event planning and supervision, executive leadership and management, fundraising and community planning. Currently teaching high school mathematics from Geometry through AP Calculus in a suburban setting, and have been teaching math, biology and English in various settings for 15 years. Outside of school, I'm highly involved in the local theatre community. I regularly appear on stage in summer Shakespeare productions (World's a Stage Players), and a have had one-act plays produced throughout the US (and in Denmark). My greatest passions in life-writing, music, theatre, mathematics, and sating my curiosity for knowledge-guide my future. I will write in order to support myself, and continue to pursue paths that interest me. Specialties: Creative and scientific writing including research summaries, press releases, medical writing for lay audience. Writing comedic, dramatic, and tragicomic one-act plays for a range of audiences.
