In my 15 years of work in environmental health and safety (EH & S), I have always found great fulfillment in helping others stay safe and protecting the environment while at the same time helping companies grow their businesses in a sometimes complex and challenging regulatory environment. Throughout my career, I have learned and developed the kinds of skills necessary to manage the day-to-day requirements of a successful EH & S program. SKILLS-Safety Training Development and Delivery. Taught over hours of EH & S training to diverse audiences and developed training materials for both classroom instruction and online delivery-Safety Program Development and Implementation. Developed safety policy for U.S. Army Reserve unit. Developed safety guidance for Beckman Coulter's field service personnel-Auditing. Conducted audits of manufacturing, distribution, laboratory and research activities and tracked closure of audit findings-Injury and Incident Investigation. Investigated OSHA recordable injuries, reviewed OSHA 300 logs for accuracy and developed responses to agencies such as the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission-Risk Assessment and Mitigation. Conduct risk assessments of Army Reserve training operations, ergonomics risk at Beckman Coulter. Identify and implement controls and to reduce risk and ensure safety-Project Management. Managed the radiological decommissioning and remediation of Beckman Coulter's Fullerton, CA facility resulting in its unrestricted release-Regulatory Support. Provided regulatory support for mergers and acquisitions worth over $6 billion at Beckman Coulter and Syncor.
