About Tolulope Akinbo

As the Pharmacy Clinical Operations Manager at Sibley Memorial Hospital, I oversee the daily operations and quality improvement of the inpatient pharmacy department, ensuring patient safety, regulatory compliance, and optimal clinical outcomes. With over five years of experience in this role, I have successfully implemented several initiatives to enhance pharmacy services, such as Medication History Pharmacy Technician Program, and locally leading the implementation of our Pharmacy Technician Training Program to improve Pharmacy Technician recruitment. I have also successfully led the Pharmacy involvement in several regulatory surveys including Joint Commission and Department of Health surveys.My passion for public health and health education drives me to continuously seek opportunities to improve the health and well-being of the patients and communities I serve. I hold a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a concentration in epidemiology, and a Certified in Public Health (CPH) credential. I also have a teaching certificate from Northeast Ohio Medical University, and I enjoy mentoring and teaching pharmacy residents, students, and staff. I am fluent in Yoruba, and I am licensed to practice pharmacy in six states.
