About Tom Antonissen

As a Brussels-born and -raised EU Affairs adviser/lobbyist (and proud to be one!) I have enjoyed a very interesting professional path so far, and am looking forward to the exciting opportunities that cross it on a regular basis. Believing that happiness in life comes from feeling you can actually make a difference to it, I am not a big fan of work/life balance dogmas but rather aim for continuous self-development by surrounding myself with people that are better than me in the many fields of interest I have. Writing this summary on a modern, wifi-connected, bus from the lively Stara Zagora to Sofia (Bulgaria), I can add that transport (technology) remains one of my deepest passions, coupled to the all-important sector of logistics as well as environmental and energy concerns. I also nurture a sincere interest in the (Western) Balkan region, where through my training (of public officials) and business development efforts I hope to make a difference to these diverse and ambitious people who have either recently joined our European Union or are very close to doing so. Therefore I certainly look forward to the opportunities that EU-funded projects will bring to the many actors in this region, as well as to the European transport and logistics sector stakeholders as a whole!
