About Tom Avery

Hard-working USC Dollinger Master of Real Estate Development and Marshall MBA graduate. As a self-starter, I take ownership of my projects, find creative solutions to problems, and excel in leadership and effective communication. I have always been fascinated with real estate and graduated from USC with an emphasis in real estate development. I soon began working for a private real estate developer where I wore many hats including land acquisition and property management. Some of my responsibility included creating and analyzing pro forma financials and managing more than 30 commercial and residential units at 4 separate properties. After showing initiative and proving my ability to be an effective communicator through my management of tenants and sub-contractors, I was promoted to project manager. I excelled in my role and was most recently able to assist our asset manager in leading a team of contractors to deliver profitable solutions to get a $17 million-dollar, 36-unit, mixed use project entitled in downtown San Jose.
