Background
About Tom Bachmann
I’m a Senior HR Manager with over a decade of experience. I currently lead core human resources functions including talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and labor relations. I hold PHR and SHRM-CP certifications and have worked across multiple industries, with a strong focus on higher education HR strategy and operations. My approach centers on aligning people practices with institutional goals—whether that’s improving recruitment processes, supporting employee development, or navigating complex employee and labor relations. I’ve led HR initiatives that build strong workplace cultures, enhance operational efficiency, and support compliance across federal, state, and institutional policies. I am also deeply involved in the HR community, serving as Vice Director for the Missouri State Council of SHRM (2024–2025) and previously as Chapter President (2023) and Board Member for SHRM of Greater Kansas City (2019–2024).
