15 + years based in the ICT Research & Innovation Business Unit at Enterprise Ireland; working along the entire technology innovation/commercialisation value chain; identifying, creating and driving relationships and opportunities between Universities, their emerging ICT Start-Ups, Technology Transfer Offices, Entrepreneurs, Venture Capital firms and Corporations with the specific objective of creating and delivering new ICT products and services commercialised out of Ireland. Currently, managing a multi-million euro portfolio of projects that are developing innovative products across many of the sectors especially AI/ML applications across Medtech, HR & OD, Manufacturing, Retail and Media verticals. I mentor and drive new tech start-up companies across all aspects of new start-up development including Business Plan & Business Model design, Sales & Marketing Strategy Development, Channel Partnering, Financing, Intellectual Property Management and early-stage customer engagement (beta trials, managing customer feedback & product design loops etc). I have personally secured over €90M in funding to support new product, process and service development activities in EI and IDA companies and new ICT start-ups emerging from the academic sector. 10 years experience in the semi-conductor business, working for Hewlett Packard and at Intel in Ireland. Fulfilled varied roles including Materials & Chemical Engineering Management, Research & Development Leadership and Process & Product Development Project Management.
