About Tom Batdorf

After college I moved to Alaska because that's where there were jobs in 2010. As the economy improved I found a better role with better opportunities in Las Vegas in 2012. I proved myself exceeding metrics and developing metrics with my purchase clearing team auditing mortgages in correspondent lending for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. At the end of 2014 I had a bit of a midlife moment where I sold everything and moved to a tropical island. The move worked out as I learned quite a bit in a construction management role focusing on marine construction for Lifetime Dock & Lumber. There I overhauled their pricing structures, rewrote their construction contracts, reorganized the logistics of their supply chain and increased their profit margin by roughly 75% while also increasing the backlog of projects to over 7 months. In need of better benefits for my newborn son I went back into banking as a Compliance Officer BSA Supervisor for First State Bank of the Florida Keys. It was a short lived role due to a natural disaster. After a hurricane destroyed our house, my wife and I moved to Arizona to care for her disabled parents. In Arizona I got out from behind the desk and into Mining for Golden Vertex Mining. there I quickly learned all roles in the laboratory before moving into the Process side of the Mine. I loved my job there as a Merrill-Crowe plant operator and did that for about two years.
