A self-confessed auction geek, eager to open up the world of auctions to more people through tech and shared expertise. After a Masters degree in Art History from St Andrew's University, Tom started his career at Christie's Auction House. First as a Specialist in Impressionist & Modern art, then later Post-War & Contemporary art. He was one of the youngest auctioneers to take to a Christie's rostrum. Tom spent six years at Christie's London as an auctioneer, and two years in humanitarian aid at the Start Network before combining these twin passions for art and social good in founding The Auction Collective in 2017. The Auction Collective is a platform that has helped thousands of artists, arts organisations and charities run professional, enjoyable auctions. In doing so, it has helped raise over £3 million for good causes. Today, Tom and the team are building a new piece of game-changing auction tech that is set to transform the ecommerce and auction landscape. Achievements - Caught the auction 'bug' at 19, whilst selling fruit and veg at his local village hall - MA in Art History, St Andrews University (Dissertation: Death & Vitality, The Late Works of Pablo Picasso)(2010)- Christie's Auctioneer, London (2012-2016)- Art Adviser of the Year Finalist - Young Turk Awards (2014)- Raised over £20 million for humanitarian aid at the Start Network (2016-2018)- Founded The Auction Collective (2017)- Spears 500 Top Recommended Art Advisor (2020, 2021 and 2022)- Raised over £16 million in over 250 international charity auctions in 13 countries (2012-today)- Over £3 million in sales from over artists at The Auction Collective (2018-2022)
