About Tom Carson

Like every fresh faced graduate eager to jump into the world of work but with no idea where to begin, I couldn't have predicted the years that would follow. Having supported the marketing efforts of University societies this seemed like a good place to start however the challenges posed by COVID-19 added an extra layer of complexity to the already daunting job hunt. When an apprenticeship opportunity at ICAEW arose, this seemed the perfect fit to both gain experience and an academic foundation in business and marketing. Advancing to a full time position, this role saw me supporting the business development and marketing efforts of our international offices. I gained valuable experience in content creation, building interpersonal relationships and creative problem solving within the accounting industry. From here, I took the opportunity to work withing the International Office team at ICAEW. My current role sees me working with colleagues around the world to advance the companies reputation and influence on a global scale, develop critical stakeholder relationships, and ensure operational efficiency for all colleagues internationally.
