About Tom Chrisp

My practice and my research has been with communities and organisations in the sectors of Health, Education, Water, Social Care, Rail, Roads and Oil. It has deliberately focused on the practical ways to help people to deliver effective collaborative projects and alliances. For the past five or so years my emphasis has shifted onto system change. I am interested in system change and in behaviour. Behaviour is often where the focus needs to be. Meaningful change to systems seems to require changes to perceptions, boundaries and connections. Whether changes are created and sustained is so often heavily influenced by the behaviour displayed by those involved. While cooperation has been a key element of my working life I’m not unfamiliar with high performance competitive situations. I captained a winning England Fencing team and represented GBR individually at veteran World Championships. These practice and personal experiences ground my work.
