I have been a County Incident Commander during 5 presidentially declared disasters in two states. I have had extensive training in the NIMS, ICS and Incident Management Team Systems, along with being an ICS/ NIMS Instructor. As Director for Madison County, I have brought the county up to the Emergency Management Accreditation Program Standard (EMAP) making Madison County the 15th county in the nation to accomplish this accreditation. I am well versed in the requirements of local, state and federal emergency management programs, according to state statutes and the Robert T. Stafford Act.
