About Tom Corbett

Tom Corbett retired in January of 2016 as co-founder and CEO of Barrier Free Adventures, an online social media and smart phone service to aid the disability community with global travel. He has been a board member for companies developing keyboards and mice with braille pulsing using TiNi alloys. In addition, Tom's multiple careers within large corporations and start-ups, domestically and internationally, arm him with considerable business knowledge and skills. Educated at UCLA in engineering and organization development, complemented with years of corporate training in technology, sales, communication and executive leadership, Tom has numerous accomplishments in fields ranging from building design and construction, telecommunications, micro-electronics, fiber optics, corporate communications, video productions and integration of mergers and acquisitions, Tom has also been a past and is presently a director on several boards and advisory committees plus he is planning and implementing "volunteer" enterprises. Tom also chaired the committees that published two books.one "Make Change Work" for Ericsson Telecom in and "Celebrating Petaluma.It's Past, Present and Future" for Petaluma's Sesquicentennial year. Specialties: Expert in global travel and living, telecom requirements for small to large businesses, change management for consolidations, M&A. Producer/director for multimedia educational/informational productions; Cultural consultant for businesses sending Americans on global assignments (including Western Europe and Mideast). Board director for numerous business types including commercial and not-for-profit.Organizer and manager of scalable volunteer enterprises. Personal: Born and raised in Venice, CA, lives in Petaluma since 1991, married to Linda Corbett, three adult kids and two grandkids in VA, MT and CA. Current sports are sailing, cycling, tennis, golf, volley ball and hiking/walking. Travelled and camped most of US and Europe.
