Reporting to the Chancellor, the Chief of Staff (COS) serves as the chief advisor and is a member of the Chancellor’s cabinet. The Chief of Staff provides specialized services and support to the Chancellor and acts as a liaison for the Chancellor and Board of Governors with Executive Administrators, academic and functional units. This position has overall responsibility for providing direction and guidance to the Chancellor’s direct reports consistent with the College’s vision, mission and goals. The Chief of Staff leads a wide range of strategic and operational matters that have a College-wide impact and maintains coordination and accountability for all major projects, innovations, and initiatives to ensure that all are effectively implemented in accordance with planned objectives and budgets, established milestones, and established performance metrics. The COS advances transformational change, manages major college-wide initiatives in service to the College’s academic mission and educational strategies; and helps shape the College’s culture to posture the College as a premier educational institution.
