Experienced Engineer & Project Manager I am an accomplished Engineer and Project Manager with a thorough approach and a keen eye for detail. My expertise lies in managing multifaceted projects within the rail sector, where I leverage a broad background in project delivery, product inspection, manufacture, service, maintenance, and repair. This extensive experience allows me to effectively understand stakeholder requirements and maintain high organisational standards for quality and safety. Current Role As an Assistant Project Manager at Siemens Electrification, I contribute to the construction of the UK’s first and the world’s largest Static Frequency Converter (SFC). My role involves collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders, implementing robust risk management strategies, and negotiating contracts to ensure project success while maintaining budgets and timelines. Previous Experience My previous positions include Overhaul Materials Manager at Hitachi Rail, where I optimised process efficiencies and monitored repair cycles, and Project Solutions Production Manager at Unipart Rail, where I led a team and managed product quality and supply chain processes. I also have a strong technical foundation from my time as an Engineering Technician, working on various engineering projects and railway signalling equipment. Education & Certifications I hold multiple qualifications, including a Level 3 Certificate in Electrical Technology and an Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Engineering. Additionally, I have completed training in Six Sigma, NEBOSH, and IPMA Level D, enhancing my project management and safety skills. Personal Interests Outside of work, I am passionate about golf, having achieved a handicap of seven. I enjoy CrossFit training, focusing on Olympic lifting and endurance workouts. I also take pride in organising charity events, raising nearly through various initiatives, including a twelve-hour workout challenge at my gym. Let's connect!
