About Tom Devolder

During the past years, I have gained substantial experience in real estate transactions, financing, valuations and fund management within an institutional and international context on a variety of real estate segments including retail, residential, logistics and offices. After working on and succesfully having closed numerous divestments of large retail parks and high-street commercial buildings (total transaction volume of ~€500mio) within the transactions team of Redevco, I joined ION as an investment manager. In that capacity, I contributed to the founding of ION Residential Platform (IRP), a new strategic investment partnership with the Dutch institutional asset managers CBRE IM and Bouwinvest Real Estate Investors to invest in affordable, qualitative and sustainable residential real estate in Belgium. Over the course of 3 years, I succesfully signed and closed a combined transaction volume of ~€170mio in the Belgium residential market consisting of forward purchase & funding deals of new-built projects as well as acquisitions of standing apartment buildings and senior care homes. More recently, I've decided to pursue my next career challenge by joining the investment team of Intervest, a portfolio company of TPG that serves as a Western-Europe logistics platform. In my capacity of investment director and member of the Intervest management team, I am currently responsible for the expansion of Intervest's logistics real estate portfolio across Europe. During my 1st year at Intervest, we managed to sign and close a combined transaction volume of ~€350mio including one of the largest logistics deals ever recorded in Belgium. I hold a master's degree in Business Engineering specialised in Finance and Accounting from the University of Antwerp and a Postgraduate in Real Estate from the University of Leuven. In addition, I've completed the Real Estate Program of Saïd Business School (University of Oxford) and passed the CFA level 2 exam.
