About Tom Erickson

Tom Erickson is an Audit Manager at Southern California Edison, an Edison International company. Tom’s focus is on continuous improvement and adding value to Edison International by partnering with various business unit leaders and making sound recommendations which help increase efficiencies, save money, and improve processes. Prior to joining Southern California Edison, Tom was an Audit Manager at Allergan, Inc. While there he was responsible for planning, performing, and managing financial and operational audits worldwide. Tom was part of the project team that interacted with top financial, information, and operational management worldwide to document and identify key internal controls in order to comply with Sarbanes Oxley. Tom was also responsible for implementing TeamMate, an electronic work paper package used for audit documentation, scheduling, risk assessment, internal audit report generation, and issue tracking. Tom’s international audits at Allergan, included sites in: Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Switzerland, and Taiwan. Tom has internal and external auditing experience in the following industries: Pharmaceuticals, Utilities, Manufacturing, Banking, Insurance, Health Care, and Oil and Gas. His external auditing experience was gained from working at Deloitte & Touche. Additionally, Tom performed numerous fraud investigations, working with corporate security and human resources, recovering funds for the organization and/or enhancing internal controls. Tom graduated from Northeastern Illinois University in 1988 with a major in Accounting and Southern Illinois University with a major in Communications in 1982. He is a Certified Internal Auditor and a Certified Public Accountant. He is also a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
