About Tom Farley
I am a U.S. Air Force veteran. My military experience in fuels distribution provided a strong transition into a role in operations at the Whiting Refinery. Due to my experience and several operator positions, I developed into an operations subject matter expert which led into front line supervisor, projects and training roles. This enabled me to find my passion in optimizing human performance. Being a lifelong learner, I pursued a degree in Organizational Management to analyze past roles and for application in future roles. I had a need to get a deeper understanding of adult learning theories, creating and measuring effective programs. I then pursued a Masters degree in Training and Development. Through all of these experiences, I have become an organizational/transitional leader experienced in creating robust hiring/onboarding programs, building programs to create a diverse and competent candidate pool, standardizing processes for efficiencies, and implementing/designing programs to increase human performance.
