About Tom Fojtik

I serve as the Executive Director of the Oshkosh Healthy Neighborhoods organization. We are a non-profit that helps interested Oshkosh residents create, build and sustain recognized neighborhood organizations. We collaborate with the City of Oshkosh planning staff to provide the necessary guidance and resources to those committed to improving their community through the development of strong, supportive neighborhoods. We provide ongoing training, support and recognition to neighborhood leaders. Our vision is, in part, to create a community of neighborhoods that are attractive, safe, friendly and desirable. My top strengths are Strategic, Futuristic, Ideation, Analytical and Empathy. I am also highly engaged in the Oshkosh community, having previously served as the Executive Director of the Oshkosh Area Community Pantry, a leading hunger relief program in Winnebago County. I served in a variety of leadership positions in the Department of Residence Life at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh for 35 years, including the final 11 as Director. In addition, I was a member of the Oshkosh Plan Commission, a city committee charged with advising city officials on long-term land use in the area. I held the position of Chair for 12 of my 15 years on the commission. I have extensive experience in leadership, public-speaking, meeting facilitation, supervision, fundraising, and strategic planning.
