About Tom Garbe

A Pioneer Original! Born and raised on Vancouver Island. Tom’s love for motorcycles, ATVs and off-roading naturally inspired him to pursue mechanics and motorcycle racing at the age of 18. Tom started as an apprentice mechanic at a Motorcycle/Marine Dealership. Over the next 9 years, he stayed in his hometown of Campbell River and acquired over 20 dealership certifications for motorcycles, outboards, generators, boats, pumps, ATV’s for almost all major brands. Tom Moved to Fort McMurray in 2006 to further his career into motorcycles. Over the next couple years, Tom worked at a very busy Motorcycle dealership next to the original Pioneer shop in Fort McMurray and achieved Red seal motorcycle technician. Gene persuaded Tom to become part of the team at Pioneer, as the first full time mechanic at Pioneer EVER! Tom helped build the business by developing a way to make the Argo’s a reliable commercial rental unit. Tom also helped design the heater system for the famous Cabbed Argo’s for our harsh winters. With his natural teaching ability, Tom moved up to service Manager and provided training and tech support for the new Pioneer branches across Alberta. Most recently, Tom moved up to the Operations Manager at the Fort McMurray Branch. With his off-roading, marine and motorcycle experience Tom knows the challenges and importance of having reliable equipment while working in remote areas.
